The Miniroos Certificate uses short, game-based sessions to introduce football to newcomers in an inclusive way
The 2 hour course, designed for kids aged four to nine years, is fully practical and encourages the coach to develop practices that are safe, fun an enjoyable.
The nation-wide program puts an emphasis on natural development, being active, making life-long friends and potentially unearthing the next generation of Socceroos or Matildas.
No coaching, but organising FUN football exercises is the key to helping players build a love for the game.
Another highlight of the course is that the coaches are exposed to basic rules of the game as well as tips and hints on building a football culture in a completely practical setting.
The Certificate, previously known as the Football West Grassroots Course, was recently renamed to fall in line with new Football Federation Australia sponsorships.
Football West facilitates the training of community coaches at various locations and times during the year.
Clubs can contact Football West to request a coaching course to be conducted at their chosen venue. These courses will run according to demand.
In order to be eligible to take part in a Football West coaching course, attendees must register using the online system and make immediate payment by credit card.
Registrations received without payment will not be processed.
